With very slight chances to progress to the next stage, the Israeli national team getting ready to what looks to be its final match in the tournament against England.

The Israeli’s are praying for a small miracle to eliminate England from the tournament as the Brits are playing this match only for pride at this stage. With a solitary point to their name, the Israeli’s coach, Guy Luzon, is not very optimistic.

Guy Luzon, Coach Israeli Team:
We knew before the tournament that the level of the Israeli team is rank 3, and all the teams who came here are rank 1. We knew before it would be difficult and I knew before that also we will do our best every game and that’s what we have done. We are happy first of all with the way we behave every game, the spirit that we bring every match and our spirit is fantastic. When you know that as people that you do your best, you need to be satisfied. Its very sad for me to finish my tenure as coach of the Israel Team Under 21, but I am looking forward with a great challenge to be the coach of Standard Liège in Belgium and I am sure it will be OK.

Dana Bahat who reports for the Israeli Sports Channel, Sport One, claims Israeli’s have lost interest in the tournament even though it is hosted in their country.

Dana Bahat, Reporter, Sport One:
At the start they were really excited about it but now I think everything is not really ok. You can also take the camera outside and look at the and go to bars and things like this and you will not see someone speak about the Euro, I don’t think so.

Michal Grundland, who is the spokesperson of the Israeli Football Association, the host of the tournament, talks about the hundreds of media representatives who have come all the way to Israel to spread the word that Israel is not at all as they initially thought.

Michal Grundland, Spokesperson, Israeli Football Association:
All in all including Israeli media we have around 420 members of the media, I can tell you for sure that we have 50 TV crews who came from all over many places in Europe, we have 250 journalists and photographers who came from all over Europe so it is very highly covered from all over the world. We have people even from Japan and from China, from Brazil. You can even see all the players from all over the teams on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram as they are enjoying the beaches, enjoying beautiful Jerusalem, they are here and they are showing it to the world. I think the most important thing is for them being our best ambassadors all over the world, because they know what the experience was for them to be here, you know, Israel is nothing like you see in the news and now its not just them hearing it, it’s them being here and they felt it, so I think this is most important thing.

Ron Jacobsohn, JN1 Correspondent:
Although local fans were hoping for a different result for the home teams, all in all Euro 2013 is a huge success and most importantly shows Israel to the world in a very different way than people are used to.
