Pnina Rosenblum is probably the most well known Israeli socialite ever. As she is celebrating 40-years under the spotlight, she is starting yet another adventure in her very colorful life as a matchmaker…

Rosenblum, who is already beyond being a celebrity, admits she is still extremely honored by the continuous public attention.

    Pnina Rosenblum, Entrepreneur:
I’m very very honored that people want to know about me and read about me and I’m all the time on TV in many, many shows and I like show business very much, I like to sing, I like to have fun besides of being a businesswoman, as you know. I’m quite pleased with my life I must say.

Its not a big secret that true love is hard to come by, so Pnina Rosenblaum wants to help where she feels she can contribute.

    Pnina Rosenblum, Entrepreneur:
Because I, all my life made big matches and solved all the problems for my friends, divorce problems and I wanted to do something different to the Jewish people all over the world and also in Israel. On my website you don’t see pictures and then you have to fill two forms, one about you and one about what you want in the other person. You sit at home and I send you three matching every week, you see, if you don’t like those three – next week you’ll get another three, and then I say like Roman Polanski told me one day when I met him in London: From ten things, one will catch. So you have to be patient because if you catch this one then you’ll find your love. I was so excited when approached me from Los Angeles, Denmark, Jewish people, you know. I wanted that my website will be for all the jewfish all over the world. I’m only two months but it started really, really strong and everybody knows about it and everybody enjoy it.

There probably is no kid in Israel who has not heard of Pnina’s colorful, if not scandalous life, but she is not at all embarrassed and even promises to bring into her new website a lot of her own life’s experiences.

    Pnina Rosenblum, Entrepreneur:
I have a lot of experience in life, you know, by living in so many places international and having more than one romance in my life, you know. I learn about, and getting married twice, I learn about what was good and how can you keep your marriage alive, you know, because it’s not easy to be married and it’s very important to know how to keep it alive and exciting, so I learned alot. Of course, I’m sure I did mistakes in my way like everybody and today I can really give a lot of advice.

The next step for Pnina Love will be entering the global market, helping Jews around the world find their match.

    Pnina Rosenblum, Entrepreneur:
In 2014 I will launch it in New York, Los Angeles, Miami. I want to go all over the world myself but I like a corporate partner that will help me there, because it’s difficult for me because I am here, then I come to America, make a lot of noise there, I haven’t been in America maybe ten years.

Ron Jacobsohn Meets the People behind the Gay Fathers Association

We are at the inaugural event for The Association of Israeli Gay Fathers, who has taken upon itself to assist the hundreds of gay families in Israel to be protected under the law, and it is unmistakable that the phenomena of gay families has taken off big time. Lets face it, at the end of the day as a Jewish society in which having children is something sacred and no Jewish mom will voluntarily give up the chance of becoming a grandmother even if her son or daughter are gay.

    Ron Jacobsohn, JN1 Correspondent:
We are at the inaugural event for The Association of Israeli Gay Fathers, who has taken upon itself to assist the hundreds of gay families in Israel to be protected under the law.

Nitzan Horovitz, who is the first openly gay member of the Knesset, wants to help the “new” kind of families get their civil right too.

MK Nitzan Horovitz, Meretz It is a very important event. We have a whole new phenomenon in Israel which is already a few years in place, where we have new kinds of families: with two fathers, two mothers, gay families, we call them in Israel “Rainbow Families” and we’re here to help them to gain equal rights for surrogacy, for marriage, for adoption, for state subsidies etc etc. It’s time for the state to recognize these new families and top help them.

Udi Ledergor, a gay dad himself and the chairman of the new association, talks about huge baby boom the LGBT community in Israel is experiencing.

Udi Ledergor, Chairman, The Israeli Gay Fathers Association:
We just started a couple of months ago, so this is entirely new organization.Basically, what we were founded for is to fight for our legal rights in Israel for equality in parenting our children, there’s still many many legal limitations on how we can bring children into the world and how we’re allowed to raise them and how long it takes to get through all the hurdles and paperwork that the government makes us go through and there are a lot of other things that we want to do like what we’re doing now in the media, showing that our families are no less equal or worthy, just like any other family in Israel or in the world, and this is how we’re going to kick-start the whole thing.

Ranny and Yaron Rosen are dads to four-year-old Rotem and 9-month-old, Daniel, who claim being a gay dad in Tel-Aviv is not something that really stands-out.

Ranny Rosen and Yaron Rosen (with the kids Daniel and Rotem):
I don’t think that in Tel- Aviv is that hard because first of all, it’s becoming very popular in Israel, especially in Tel- Aviv. You can see a lot of Gay dads all over, sometimes in several places you feel a bit like in “Gay-Land”. When we brought Rotem four years ago, it was less common but I think to be gay, not to be a gay dad in Tel-Aviv is very common, very popular so we don’t feel that people are watching, looking at us, or something like this.

Shosh Pinkas calls herself the first “Israeli Gay Grandma. So she decided to help future generations of gay grandchildren and wrote a children’s book, The Dads of Gal and Noa, which explains how gay families are unique and the same as other families at the same time.

Shosh Pinkas, Author and Gay Grandma:
I felt the need to write not so much about the experience, rather my goal was to help those people that are being asked how the kids can have two fathers and no mother, and as a matter of fact we too had difficulties with that same question, so I decide to try and write this book. It’s a book for children where the narrator is an adult. It’s a book that begins with a child’s story but turns into a book that describes all the process, and in fact is very similar to the popular Israeli children’s book which we all grew up on.

    Ron Jacobsohn, JN1 Correspondent:
It is unmistakable that the phenomena of gay families has taken off in Israel in recent predominantly because at the end of the day we are a Jewish society in which having children is something sacred and no Jewish mom will voluntarily give up the chance of becoming a grandmother even if her son or daughter are gay.

Ron Jacobsohn Meets the People behind the Go4Europe Conference

A number of big investment companies in Israel decided to collaborate on a one-day conference to decipher together how to understand the business climate in Europe towards the Jewish state.
If there one resolution that was heard loud and clear by all the speakers was that no matter the message the Government of Israel decides to convey to the public opinion in Europe it has to act now and talk in only one voice.

Ron Jacobsohn Visits Tel-Aviv’s Newest Sensation: Made in Eretz Israel

At an early age Tel-Avivian, Gil Fanto, has become fascinated by things from the past of Israel before the country has even been created officially. His fascination became a hobby, when it almost turned compulsive he realized he had to something with his, by then, extensive collection. So the one-time HR executive resigned from his high paying job and created Made in Eretz Israel.
